The Digitata Baobab (Adansonia digitata) is native to sub-Saharan Africa and is the only baobab species native to the African mainland. Known for its striking appearance and longevity, this tree can grow up to 80 feet tall and live for thousands of years. Its trunk is smooth and distinctive, often described as looking like an upside-down tree.
Size guide
- Seedling: These are young baobab seedlings, less than a year old.
- Small: Typically 1–2 years old, generally lacks branches, and will need more time to establish itself.
- Medium: Generally 2–3 years old and may have a couple of branches, a bit taller or thicker than the small variation.
- Large: Still a small young tree relatively, but will be thicker, taller, and branchier.

Care
