What’s the Return policy?

While I don’t “officially” accept returns or refunds at this point, I do my absolute best to make every transaction run smoothly. If you receive a ruined plant, or your package doesn’t arrive, please let me know and I’ll be happy to send you a replacement free of charge upon availability. Also happy to give refunds on individual circumstances, just let me know what happened :)

Custom and personalized orders

Looking specifically for a tiny bonsai baobab or a large happy growing one for outside? Let me know by messaging me or including a note in your purchase and I’ll do my best to send you the tree you’re looking for.

Care instructions

Every Baobab Seedling or packet of Baobab Seeds you receive from CaliforniaBaobabs should include a germination/care guide. There are a ton of resources online as well. You can also message me anytime and I’ll be happy to share what works and doesn’t (for me). Remember, patience is key when growing Baobabs.

Shipping and Packing

I do my best to make sure every order is packed safely for their journey. Still, mail couriers can be unpredictable and there are a hundred ways live plants can be destroyed during transit. Live plants can not be insured with the courier. Let me know and include a picture (if possible) as soon as you receive your defective order, and I’ll take care of it. :)

International Shipping

Some countries require phytosanitary certificates to import live plants (and sometimes seeds). Often times, you can arrange for a free import permit from your country and send it to me. When a phytosanitary inspection is necessary, you'll be sent a separate listing for the price of the inspection, typically about $30 USD. Currently we are not offering international shipping, but get in touch if you'd like to arrange something.
